The Project Engineer is an independent resource on moderate-sized projects working to balance all aspects of those projects including technical, marketing and financial with supervision from a Team Manager. On larger projects the Project Engineer serves in a support role to a Project Manager, freeing the Project Manager to focus their attention on higher-level project management activities and problem solving, increasing both efficiency and quality as a result. It is important that Project Engineers become increasingly independent over time, so they function as an independent resource for the Project Manager.
The Project Engineer is responsible for following the Axiom Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure quality work outputs during project design and in construction administration. When encountering design or quality challenges during the normal execution of their responsibilities, Project Engineers are expected to understand when and how to escalate issues to the Project Manager or Team Manager to keep the project on track and ensure waste is minimized.
Project Engineers will have interaction with clients, and in the process, they should ensure clients experience the fulfillment of Axiom’s core values and brand promise.
